SportStop · Welcome
Welcome to your team page
This is your team's home for the season — fixtures, results, lineups, snacks roster, all in one spot. Anyone with the link can view it. The team passphrase (shared in your team's WhatsApp group) lets parents help record results on match day.
Designed to be shared in your team WhatsApp at the start of the season. ~2-minute read.
What you can do as a parent
See what's coming up
Tap the team URL your coach shared. The fixture list shows every round, kickoff time, opponent and venue. Confirmed dates are marked Confirmed; ones the league is still working out show TBC.
Vote your child in or out for the weekend
On any upcoming match, the Roll call section lets anyone tap In or Out for any player. Coach uses it as a guide — final lineup is theirs to call.
See match reports
Tap a match after it's been played. Score, goalscorers, captain, player of the day, and the planned lineup if your sport supports it.
Share the next fixture
The next-fixture card has a Share button that generates a tidy poster-style image — opponent, date, kickoff, field, who's bringing snacks — and drops it into your phone's share sheet. Forward to the team WhatsApp in two taps. Pasting the match-report URL into a chat also produces a preview card with the same look.
Sync to your phone calendar
On the team page, look for the Calendar card → Subscribe. Adds every match to your phone's calendar app. Changes the coach makes flow through automatically (give your calendar app a few hours to catch up — Google Calendar can be slow).
Helping out on match day
Anyone in the team WhatsApp can help record the result, lineup or snacks roster. No account needed.
- On the team page, tap I'm a recorder in the View-only banner
- Type your name (so the team knows who entered the result)
- Enter the team passphrase — ask your coach or check the team WhatsApp pinned message
- You're in. Open the match and tap Record game (or, for netball, Assign positions to plan the lineup pre-match)
You can switch back to View-only any time from the same banner.
Why a passphrase? Not security — it lets us see who recorded the match and stops two parents typing different scores at the same time. One recorder per match, clean shared record.
Netball-specific bits
Netball is the only sport that supports pre-match lineup planning, so the recording flow splits into two affordances on the match-report page:
- Assign positions — pre-match. Per-quarter position dropdowns for each present player, plus a captain radio. Save it the night before; tweak on the sideline.
- Record game — post-match. Score + per-quarter goal counters (for whoever's been assigned GS or GA) + captain + player of the day + notes.
Inside Assign positions the lineup matrix has a Maintain / Randomise toggle above it. Maintain keeps the same kid in the same position all four quarters. Randomise gives everyone a different role each quarter while still rotating bench time fairly. The current captain shows in the CAP column — tap a radio to assign, tap the same radio again to clear.
The parent attendance survey (Roll call) flows through into the lineup checklist: kids whose parents have marked them "out" arrive in the matrix already unticked. The coach can override either way before saving.

Quick FAQ
- I can't see the Record game / Assign positions button.
- You're in view-only mode. Hit I'm a recorder in the banner at the top and enter the team passphrase.
- I don't have the passphrase.
- Ask your coach or check the team WhatsApp — usually pinned at the start of the season. Coaches can also retrieve or reset it from Coaches' Corner → Settings.
- I recorded the wrong score.
- Open the match report and tap Edit result. Recorders can edit, not just create.
- Two parents want to mark attendance for two different kids.
- Roll call is per-player — each parent taps in or out on their own child's row. No passphrase needed to vote attendance; the survey is open to anyone with the team URL.
- The match was cancelled. The calendar still shows it.
- Calendar apps sync on their own schedule (Apple Calendar: usually within a day; Google: up to a day). If the coach updated it less than 24 hours ago, your phone might not have caught up. Check the team page itself — that always reflects the latest.
- I'm not seeing players on the lineup.
- The coach hasn't saved a planned lineup yet. They might do that the night before the match — check back closer to kickoff. For non-netball sports, the lineup only fills in once the result is recorded post-match.
- (Netball) My kid was marked in by their parent but is unticked in the lineup.
- If the coach hasn't placed them in any quarter yet, the lineup follows the latest attendance vote — flip the vote and reopen the page. If the coach has placed them in a quarter, that's an explicit decision and overrides later attendance changes; ask the coach to update.
- Something's broken / weird.
